Rhinoplasty is a procedure that alters the appearance and proportion of the nose, bringing harmony to one´s face and improving one´s self-esteem. As the nose is the most prominent and central part of the face, it makes an important contribution to our facial appearance. It is a surgery that requires enhanced technique, artistic vision and minute attention to detail. Even the smallest imperfection of the nose can become notably obvious.

Nose surgery can also correct respiratory difficulties caused by anomalies in the structure of the nose. In patients without respiratory complaints, special measures are taken so as not to hinder the airflow.

Modern rhinoplasty is very versatile and can alter diverse features of the nose: length, width, the profile, the tip, the nostrils, and possible asymmetries and deviations. In the past, the surgical techniques were basically the same for all patients. This created similar results and each surgeon seemed to produce a certain standard look. In the last 20 years, there has been a huge advance in rhinoplasty techniques, so that we have more control over the result and more possibilities to customize surgeries according to each case.
